The Sunken Gardens

My friends Julia, Amy and I are headed to the Sunken Gardens in St. Petersburg, FL.  These beautiful 4 acre botanical gardens are located in the heart of St Pete - and are a surprising feature buried in the urban downtown area.  This is my 4th trip to these gardens; I love to share the experience with anyone who comes to visit me in Florida!  However, this is both Amy and Julia's first time visiting the century old historical gardens, and I am so excited to take them on this birding adventure!

Unfortunately, I did not see wild birds hanging out in gardens - and I was hoping I might see a Hummingbird in the Butterfly Garden, or a common species hanging out.  But, I had insider knowledge that there are several birds housed in the attraction's aviary!
